Description

This course provides essential information for veteran clinical healthcare staff. In this course the participant will review and update knowledge of Compliance and Ethics; Patient Rights; and Patient Care and Protection.

• Compliance and Ethics ~ Corporate Compliance, Medical Ethics, and Sexual Harassment
• Patient Rights ~ Confidentiality, Patient Participation in Treatment Decisions, Disclosure and Informed Consent, Advance Directives, Access to Emergency Service, Respect, Safety, and Nondiscrimination, and Grievances
• Patient Care and Protection ~ Developmentally Appropriate Care, Cultural Competence, Restraint and Seclusion, Patient Assault and Abuse in the healthcare setting and Victims of Abuse and Neglect
